Blast Door is an experiment with turning the light reflector shields on a standard terrarium arrangement into a functional and attractive array. The front and side shields are sealed polystyrene foam, and all may be removed for cleaning and maintenance. The front shield allows a view into the main terrarium, which contains a Nepenthes alata pitcher plant, a Drosera adelae sundew, a Dendrobium hybrid orchid, and hybrid strawberry (Fragraria) plants amongst a background of resin casting and driftwood.
